Hudson Fire Department K-9 Search and Rescue is an all-volunteer Non-Profit 501C3 Search and Rescue (SAR) team located in Lufkin Texas (Angelina County) that responds to lost and missing person searches and other related emergencies throughout East Texas and the State of Texas.
Our team has provided search and rescue services for dozens of agencies throughout the greater East Texas area and other parts of Texas.
All of our team members (Human and K-9) meet stringent training and certification requirements and train on a weekly basis to maintain proficiency in SAR-related skills such as land navigation, communications, crime scene preservation, technical rescue, search management, lost person behavior, man-tracking and much more.
All members of the Hudson Fire Department K-9 Search and Rescue Team are trained and qualified in the Incident Command System and have completed the required NIMS courses as outlined by FEMA.
Our team also has team members who are specifically trained in the management of Search and Rescue operations and small team operations.
The Hudson Fire Department K-9 Search and Rescue Team is trained to FEMA 508-8 Type 1 and Type 2 guidelines and ASTM F1847-14 for K-9 Operations.
Our team's operating guidelines allow us to only take call-outs from Law Enforcement, Fire Service agencies or other search teams
